The Ultimate Philosophy

March 27, 2006

Dear Jennifer,

We have spoken a great deal about philosophy, and I believe we have much more to discuss. I wait with anticipation and a full heart for more talks in this regard. I hope you will not think me too truculent in this writing, as I cannot hold back the desire to establish certain benchmarks as points of discussion. I prefer to write these benchmarks into records. Please do not think me overly formal.

Of the studies I have made throughout my life I have discovered many philosophers and interpretations of philosophers. I have read many texts, some scholarly, some sacred, some hidden and unpopular, ad others claiming autonomy and political supremacy. I have experienced practices from the Makah Indian rituals, to re-birthing, Eckankar, energy healing, and cones to tongues and peyote traces. I have researched the Kabbalah, Talmud, Qur'an, Bibles, Torah, and Taoist, Confucianism, Tibetan, and esoteric rituals of cultures from Mayan to Norwegian. African trances and Dream systems also exist to this day, and all of these varied rituals of Man contain elements of the truth. But none of these have contained a single teaching to equal or even understand the ultimate teaching I discovered in an almost three thousand year old philosophy. To my knowledge thus far, I have found no other philosophy with the following two teachings. To be sure, there are contained in this philosophy more than two teachings. But in these two teachings, any other cannot touch this philosophy. The philosophy I speak of, teach, and practice is the Buddha's true teaching. Not all the teachings, but specifically the culminating teaching of the threefold Lotus Sutra. Here are the two unrivaled, unchallenged teachings for your consideration. They are in fact only one teaching, however, because you are woman, I thought you would appreciate knowledge of both.

First, this three thousand year old teaching states unequivocally that woman, all women, no matter what class, status, ability, or race can, through this practice, attain enlightenment just as any man. By enlightenment, I do not speak of epiphany, realizations, or any mortal conceit. I am speaking here of the awakening of the nature of your life, all life. What the Kabbalists call Ein Sof, beyond all the names of God. What many Christian and Jewish sects call the kingdom of God. The awakening of the fact that you and all phenomena are beyond God; the awakening of our true nature as the ultimate creators.

Second, this three thousand year old teaching states unequivocally that through its practice, all human beings can achieve this enlightenment in this lifetime! Alive, and now, not after judgments, or punishments, or rebirths, or in other parts of the universe, but right here, and right now!

This is the ultimate teaching, the ultimate philosophy, the ultimate philosophical counseling. Buddhism is the practice to help all those who suffer, and raise their awareness. And if they choose, this is the practice to unequivocally raise awareness to the awakening of one's own enlightenment.

Nam (u)-myoho-renge-kyo.

With all my love and respect,

Reverend Sylvain Chamberland

BACKGROUND

Reverend Sylvain had been in communication with Jennifer Farrell in regards to their shared goals and vision for the development of a location where the practice of counseling and dialogue could be used in a de-compressed environment for the benefit of all mankind. Jennifer had been on the path of developing several acres of land in a beautiful tropical location for the purpose of inviting philosophical counselors to practice in a small-created village of huts and gardens. The reverends wishes to establish a living sanctuary for the practice, study and propagation of Lotus Sutra Buddhism and his holistic philosophy of Quantum Life was compatible enough to be of great interest. This letter was written to invite Jennifer to the ultimate philosophy of the Lotus Sutra and to promote greater synergy in their mutual goals. This is an example of the Reverends ability to perform shoju, softly introducing the practice.
